GameHouse welcomes you to the Welcome to Primrose Lake visitor center! Here you can learn how to play, how scoring works, and even a few useful tips and tricks to help you along the way. Scroll down to get started.
How to Play
Welcome to Primrose Lake is a GameHouse Original Stories Time Management game. The goal of the game is to serve as many customers as possible within a set time limit. The better your service, the higher your score!
Step 1 – Serving Customers
Your primary goal while playing is to serve customers. Once a customer orders, the products they’d like will be displayed in a bubble above their head. Tap on the corresponding item in the shop, then bring it to the customer.
Step 2 – Combination Items
Some products need to be assembled or combined before they can be served to customers. Tap on the parts or ingredients in the correct order to assemble the perfect product for your customer.
Step 3 – Cooking and Pouring
Other products take time to prepare before they can be served. Once you interact with these products, a gauge will be displayed. Tap on the product again when the needle lands in the green zone to add the completed item to your tray.
Step 4 – The Service Tray
All the items you pick up will be placed on your tray. The tray is located on the left side of the screen (while playing in fullscreen mode). Items will automatically be removed once they’ve been served to a customer. If you’d like to remove an unwanted item from your tray, simply tap it and it will be removed.
Step 5 – Checkout
Now you know the basics – it’s time to check out! Once all of a customer’s order has been fulfilled, they’ll be ready to check out. A money icon will appear in the order bubble above their head. Tap on the register to check them out and collect payment – and a score based on your service!
Scoring and Customer Happiness
Customer Happiness
Happy customers are the key to high scores. Each customer will have up to 5 hearts displayed over their head. The more these hearts are filled, the happier the customer is – and the higher scores they’ll give! Customers who lose all their hearts will leave without giving you a score.
Serve complete orders quickly to boost a customer’s happiness level – and the potential to earn high scores!
Scoring
Points are awarded based on your service. In addition to points awarded for customer happiness, Bonus Points may also be awarded by completing special combos. Combos include:
- Quick Bonus – Serve all the items a customer requests within a handful of seconds.
- Full Order Bonus – Bring a customer all the items they request in a single trip.
- Service Combo – Serve multiple full orders back-to-back.
- Checkout Combo – Check out 2 or more customers at a time.
- All Clean Bonus – Have all stations and/or tables clean at the end of your shift.
You can also earn bonus points by completing a level’s secondary objective or finding a level’s hidden Raccoon. Service combos are key to earning high scores and more stars!
Raccoon Locations
Like other GameHouse Original Stories games, Welcome to Primrose Lake contains a hidden creature – this time, it’s a raccoon! A mischievous raccoon is hidden in each of the game’s story levels. Find him to earn a score bonus, including a bonus diamond! For a list of all raccoon locations, check out the Raccoon Locations section.
Diamonds & The Park
Diamonds are awarded by meeting certain requisites. Up to 5 diamonds can be earned per level: 1 per score star (for a total of up to 3), 1 for finding the hidden raccoon, and 1 for completing the secondary story objective.
You can use diamonds in the Park to restore it!

Additional Tips and Tricks
Now that you know how to play Welcome to Primrose Lake, here are a few extra tips and tricks to send you on your way:
- Keep It Clean! – Making sure all stations are clean means incoming customers will have a place to go. Don’t let things get too dirty, or customers may leave.
- In-Stock and Re-stock – Products with small numbers beside them are available in limited stock. Be sure to restock these throughout your shift so customers aren’t kept waiting.
- Start the Day Off Right – Restock all products at the very start of your shift to get ahead of any busy customer rush – you may not always have time to restock later!
- Furry Freeloaders – A raccoon is hidden in each level. Listen for their chitter, which indicates they’re close by!
- Mighty Magical Multipliers – Serve multiple customers back-to-back to earn valuable score chain bonuses. You can also check out multiple customers at once for bonuses. This back-to-back service is key regarding how to earn 3-star scores.

Restock cookies a total of 3 times. Tap the brick oven on the far left to bake more cookies. Once the gauge shown lands in the green zone, tap the oven again to add the freshly baked cookies to the tray and restock them.
Tip! You don’t need to wait for customers to order cookies. Try adding an extra cookie to your tray, then baking more.

In retrospect, this was a bad idea.
Fight off your attacker! Two buttons will appear diagonally on either side of Jessica. Tap the green button repeatedly. Once it turns red, tap the now-green button repeatedly. A meter above Jessica will keep track of her progress. Keep tapping the green buttons that appear until Jessica breaks free!

Measure clients for alterations. Clients who stand above the green counter with the carrot will occasionally ask to be measured. Tap the customer to take their measurement before the green color leaves their order bubble. Take the measurements of 5 customers before the end of your shift.

Fit clothes on Jenny. Jenny’s standing on a stool in front of the mirror in the upper left corner. A “!” bubble will appear over her head at the start of your shift. Tip! Fiona will occasionally need to help other clients, too. When other clients need her, serve these clients quickly, then immediately tap on Jenny to continue taking her measurements.

- The Large Footprints where the grass meets the dirt on the right.
- The Small Footprints in the dirt on the right, just past the Large Footprints.

Simmer down and eat your pie.
Serve pie to customers. Serve a total of 8 slices of pie to customers during your shift. If you run out of stock, you can bake more pies by using the station on the right. Tap the dough, followed by the apple filling. Once the pie in the oven is cooked, tap on it to add it to the cooling plate on the far left of the Diner and restock the pie slices.
