Delicious – The First Course is a special edition of the Delicious series inspired by Emily’s very first game that was originally released back in 2006! This special edition game features new Time Management gameplay elements, a new upgrades system, and hints of nostalgia.

Delicious – The First Course is a special edition inspired by the very first Delicious game. Emily was first introduced to us back in 2006 and she has grown alongside us over the years. We’ve watched her fall in love, get married, open her own restaurants, start a family, and much more! You can learn more about her journey on the Delicious Series blog.

Emily’s very first game was without a story, so to celebrate where it all began, Delicious – The First Course brings back the pure, classic Time Management fun just like in the original, but with some brand-new features for you to enjoy! Get ready for a unique twist on the Delicious series you know and love with these useful tips and tricks for Delicious – The First Course! Learn how to play, how scoring works, as well as bonus tips and tricks, and more!

How to Play

Delicious – The First Course is a GameHouse Premiere exclusive Time Management cooking game and is part of the Delicious Series! The goal of the game is to serve as many customers as possible within a set time limit. The better your service, the higher your score!

Serve Customers
Your main task during gameplay is to serve customers. Select the item they ordered, which will be added to your inventory tray. Then, select the customer to deliver the order.

Check Out Customers
After you serve orders to customers, they will approach the counter to pay. To check out customers, select the register.

Combine Items
Some orders must be assembled before they can be delivered to customers. To do this, select the ingredients in the correct sequence.

Prepare Items
Some items take time to prepare. Watch the progress bar fill up and be sure to collect the item when it hits the green zone so it doesn’t spill.

Restock Items
Some items have a limited supply, so keep an eye on the number next to the products and restock when needed. Tip! Restock all items at the start of the day to get ahead early on.

Inventory Tray
Your inventory tray is limited. When all the slots are filled, you can’t pick up any new products. To free up slots, you have to either deliver the orders to the customers or you can discard items by selecting their icon on your tray.

Clean Tables
After customers have finished at a table, they leave a mess behind. Select the table to clean it as soon as possible as new customers can’t use a dirty table.

Catch the Mouse

Carl the mouse is hidden in all 80 levels, plus Endless levels. Carl will pop up several times throughout each level and you’ll hear his soft squeak before he disappears again—so keep the game sound on! Find all 80 mice to unlock a special trophy!

New Features

This special edition of Delicious is packed with new features, including Kitchen, Interior, and Decor Upgrades, along with Staff members you can hire.

Delicious – The First Course – New Features

Kitchen Upgrades
Spend coins on Kitchen Upgrades that enhance your menu offerings and boost your earnings. Kitchen Upgrades are items you serve to customers or use to bake items on your menu. Using the upgraded kitchen items can increase your stock count, restore customer hearts, score you more points, and more. Be sure to purchase Kitchen Upgrades before starting a level.

Interior Upgrades
Spend coins on Interior Upgrades that enhance your dining spaces and boost your efficiency. Interior Upgrades can increase the size of your tray, increase your walking speed, reduce the time it takes to clean tables, increase customer patience, and more! There are three levels of each interior upgrade, so you can increase your efficiency even more.

Decor Upgrades
Spend your diamonds to add a touch of flair to each restaurant! While these decorations won’t impact gameplay, they’ll help you create a space that’s truly one-of-a-kind! There are three different options you can purchase and you can mix and match different styles.

Staff
Introducing your handy helpers! Need some help in the kitchen? You can use your coins to hire waitstaff to make your workday easier. You can use up to two staff members at a time, so choose carefully!

Cleaner
Say hello to Angela, the cleaner! As some of you may already know, Angela is Emily’s little sister and is here to take charge of cleaning the tables after customers leave. At least that’s the plan anyway…

Fun Fact: Angela has featured in many Delicious games over the years, and even has her own series called Fabulous Angela!

Entertainer
Meet Larry, the entertainer! With a strum of his guitar, he’ll keep customer satisfaction from slipping away, helping Emily out when she’s all shook up and falling behind.

Fun Fact: Larry was in the original Delicious game and has also been featured in other games, such as Delicious – Emily’s Road Trip.

Waiter
Meet Sid, your friendly waiter! He’ll deliver orders to the tables so Emily has more time to focus on honing her skills in the kitchen. Make sure everything is prepped and on the tray before sending him off, otherwise, he’ll only deliver part of the order.

Fun Fact: Sid is the original cleaner from the very first Delicious game.

Endless Mode

Delicious – The First Course introduces a new challenge with Endless Mode so you can keep playing long after you’ve finished all 80 regular levels!

Choose your favorite restaurant
Complete restaurants in the main game to unlock their endless versions. Once you’ve unlocked all of the restaurants, you can choose your favorite restaurants and play for as long as you like for limitless fun!

Work in shifts
In Endless Mode, you’ll work shifts, each with their own side objective. The clock will be ticking, and you need to serve as many customers as you can. Every time you check out a customer, you’ll gain some extra time to earn more points.

Catch Carl
Be on the lookout for Carl the mouse—each time you catch him, you’ll score extra points!

Tips
Each new shift will be more intense, so don’t forget to purchase upgrades in the main game BEFORE starting an endless level.

Leaderboard
Keep track of your scores and challenge yourself to achieve amazing new high scores!

Scoring, Coins, and Customer Happiness

Customer Happiness
You’ll earn tips based on guest satisfaction levels. Each guest has hearts over their head indicating how happy they are:

5 Hearts = Ecstatic!

4 Hearts = Very Happy

3 Hearts = Happy

2 Hearts = Slightly Unhappy

1 Heart = Angry

The more hearts a customer has over their head when you check them out, the higher the points you’ll receive – which means a higher score and ultimately more coins! Customers with no hearts will leave without giving you any points, so be careful!

Scoring and Coins

Throughout each level you will earn a score and that score will determine how many stars you are awarded after playing the level. Each star (3 in total) is worth a certain amount of coins.

For example – the first star might be worth 50 coins, the second star worth 100 coins, and the third star worth 150 coins. If you earn all 3 stars, you’ll earn 300 coins (based on this example). You can use coins to purchase Kitchen Upgrades, Interior Upgrades, and Staff.

Earning Diamonds

You’ll earn diamonds upon completing levels. You can earn up to 5 diamonds per level. You’ll get 1 diamond per star earned (up to 3), 1 for finding the mouse, and 1 for completing the side objective. You can use your diamonds to purchase Decor Upgrades.

Coffee Minigame

How to play – Starting from the dot, trace the pattern on the coffee to give it that sweet and charming touch!
